Playa Remanso is one of the premiere beaches near San Juan del Sur, and it is right outside your front door!  

The water temperature varies by day, but is never too cold for a dip.  You should be mindful that there are no life guards on duty and that the surf can be rough,  That said, there are no dangerous rip tides at this beach.

There are several taco bars on the beach that serve food and beverages.  The prices are a bit higher than in town, but they are a convenient spot to sit, relax in the shade, and watch a beautiful sunset.

Playa Remanso is the ideal place to learn to surf.

The waves are well suited for beginner and intermediate surfers.  Boards and lessons are available on the beach at a modest price.  

The hills around the property offer convenient hiking opportunities.  Best to get hiking done by 10:00 am to avoid the heat. 

La Colinas

We recommend starting the day with a summit of La Colinas, a nearby jungle covered hill with exceptional views.  This is an intermediate hike that takes approximately an hour and a half (out and back). Francisco, the cuidador, is happy to show you the trail head.
