In general, the waves are suitable for beginner to intermediate surfers. Surf boards and surf lessons are available at modest prices. Spear fishing and surf casting is good at times, look for sea birds hitting the fish from the house porch. Several bars serve food but prices are a bit higher than town.
The hills around the property offer convenient hiking opportunities. Best to get hiking done by 10:00 am to avoid the heat. A meandering walk to the beach is a relaxing way to welcome each new day. If you are in the mood for a more aggressive hike, an hour and a half long (out and back) trek to the top of a nearby jungle covered hill awaits you.
